The long-term relationship between Rose and Paul came to an abrupt end some time ago. They have not talked or seen each other since, yet their turbulent minds still linger about their lost love. When Paul arrives at Rose’s doorstep to collect the last of his belongings before moving across the country, a simple exchange becomes a bit more complicated.

As they sort through the fragments of their shared past, their unresolved feelings rise to the surface. With time running out, they’re forced to confront the truth: Did their love fall apart, or did they let it slip away? And when the door finally closes, will they walk away with regret—or with peace?

What if an ex stumbled back into your life if you still had feelings for them? What if you could have one last conversation with them? Would you try to bring them back into your life or find a way to settle those unresolved feelings?

THE VISION

We have all experienced and expressed love in our lives, whether familial, platonic, or romantic. However, there is a price that love pays when that person exits our life: grief. I want to tell stories that strike a chord with any member of the audience, and the ideas of grief and closure are key components of our shared existence. Due to personal experiences, I wanted to channel these themes through the perspective of a failed relationship.

Most people have dealt with breakups along with the grief and lingering feelings that follow. With this film I want to tell people that it’s okay to move on. It’s tough truth to realize, but, sometimes, no matter how much it hurts, or how much you love the other person, we have to go our separate ways since that’s what’s best for each other. I’m hoping this film could even provide a sense of closure to those who haven’t experienced it yet.

RACHEL KORDELL

ROSE

The role of Rose will be brought to life by Rachel Kordell. Rachel is a New Jersey-based actress and filmmaker with a diverse body of work, including recent projects such as “Mori" and “TJ’”. With an unyielding devotion for the craft Rachel is always ready to sink her teeth into her next project.

In addition to her film work, Rachel is heavily involved in the Table Top Role Play Game and Actual Play communities. She performs on the podcast RP Jesters, where she brings a range of characters to life in various narratives. She also engages with her audience through her Twitch channel, MajorasRose, where she shares uplifting content and fosters a positive online community.

DREW GRANT

PAUL

Playing the role of Paul is Drew Grant. A NYC based actor, Drew is a graduate of the AMDA BFA Musical Theater program, and has spent most of his academic and professional career on the West Coast. Drew has performed in a variety of stage productions - AMDA credits include: Link in "Hairspray," Marius in "Les Misérables," Dickon in "The Secret Garden," Kodaly in "She Loves Me." Post-grad, credits include: Fyedka in "Fiddler On The Roof," Warren Sheffield in "Meet me in St. Louis," Fred in "A Christmas Carol.”

Moving to New York, he fell in love with the intimacy of film, and has worked on two Vanguard Studios shorts that included “No Witnesses,” and “Standoff.” He is looking forward to another collaboration with Director Rob Watt, and working with a similar group of filmmakers that brings professionally and passion on every set.

Reformer Pilates

This class is conducted on the reformer machine and focuses on core strength, flexibility, and overall muscle tone through controlled movements and resistance.

ROB WATT

WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER

Rob is a filmmaker born, raised, and based in New Jersey. His unyielding passion for cinema and the art of filmmaking has been a consistent drive throughout his life. Through his work, Rob wants to create profound and captivating stories with universal themes, ones which any audience member can enjoy.

Rob’s most recent directorial work “No Witness,” a dark comedy short, was screened at multiple film festivals around the country and chalked up a few awards along the way. With this project, Rob wishes to expand his versatility as a filmmaker with a more dramatic and somber piece.

Drawn from personal experiences, Rob was inspired to create a film with grief and closure as it’s central themes through the lens of a failed relationship. We may not have all dealt with a bad breakup, but the pain of losing someone we love and coming to terms with that loss is a essential component of the human experience.

NICOLE DIA

PRODUCER, COMPOSER

A filmmaker and composer based on Long Island, Nicole has always had a life-long passion for storytelling. For the past few years, Nicole has gained extensive experience through dozens of narrative and feature films in a variety of different positions. With an endless love for the filmmaking process and a deep fascination with every department, Nicole constantly aspires to collaborate with individuals filled with the same passion for bringing original stories from page to screen.

Fresh off a directorial debut, (“Liminal”) Nicole is ready to tackle another project with Rob. As the other half of Vanguard Studios, the two have an extensive history of creative collaboration. In addition to her contributions as a Producer, Nicole will be the film’s composer. With a passion for film scores than runs just as deep as her love for filmmaking, Nicole will provide a powerful musical statement to the heart of the film. One that will enchance the feeling and mood we see on the screen.

PHIL LONG

PRODUCER

Located in LA, Phil is a filmmaker who’s worked in various roles in the independent and professional spaces with a life long goal of directing. In recent years, Phil has dedicated his time to other aspects of the filmmaking process like Writing, Producing, and Assistant Directing. He focuses on trying to learn about all the ins and outs of making an actual project come to light with the hopes that it will make him a better director, when the time is right.

Having gone to the same high school as Rob, the two have a lengthy history of creating films together. Their most recent creative endeavors include a feature length screenplay: “Of Lonely Places,” and working as the 1st Assistant Director & Associate Producer on “No Witnesses.” Phil’s role on the team as Producer allows him to commit his passions and energy to assisting all team members, and answer that daunting question: “how are we going to make this?”

KATIE KAMETZ

Katie is a writer and director based in the greater New York City area. For the past seven years, she has been a filmmaker dedicated to telling coming-of-age stories that resonate with her—stories that aren’t confined to adolescence but explore the conversations, experiences, and adventures that spark profound change and continually shape us into new versions of ourselves.

Katie believes that filmmaking is a creative and intimate medium—a way of connecting with stories we haven’t lived yet somehow understand. It’s the quiet magic of being alone with someone on screen, feeling their emotions as if they were your own. This universality and intimacy drive her passion for storytelling.

DOM LAMPASONA

PRODUCER, POST-SUPERVISOR

Dom Lampasona is a filmmaker based out of New Jersey with extreme ambitions of originating cinematic stories that stem from his pure inspiration of chasing a lifelong dream. As a director he has created a wide swath of work including his sci-fi short “The Morning Breeze.” Dom takes pride in his strong leadership skills. Aside his directing work he has produced several shorts and has led production teams of full cast and crew members. He knows what it takes to develop a project, handling the logistics of production and conceptualizing ideas from script to screen.

In addition to his on set skills, Dom has advanced knowledge of post production within the film industry. As a post producer he has worked on several feature films like “The Front Room” (A24), “Y2K” (A24), “Riff Raff”, “Killing Castro”, “Daddio,” and many more. With this experience he’ll coordinate a quick and efficient workflow for the project’s post-production turnaround.

DYLAN TOLLEFSON

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Dylan J. Tollefson is a commercial & narrative director of photography based in New Jersey. Within the past few years, Dylan has dedicated time to other indie projects, such as ‘The Morning Breeze,’ (Dom Lampasona) ‘No Witnesses,’ (Rob Watt) and ‘Liminal,’ (Nicole Dia). Dylan continues to pursue his passion for narrative work, as it is “a career of perpetual learning and priceless friendships, bound together by the power of storytelling.”

His longtime friendship with Director Rob Watt has forged a working relationship that resulted in creative cohesion while . This will be their second collaboration together and the two plan to create a stunning visual style uniquely crafted for this narrative.
